If we allow them to, anxiety, stress, and uncomfortable feelings can run our lives. My passion lies in helping you to find freedom and movement from these uncomfortable feelings rather than stagnation and suffering. Together, we will explore how you respond to uncomfortable feelings and find healthier, more productive and more genuine ways of responding that fit with your values in all areas of your life.
I am trained in mindfulness-based therapies that encourage full engagement in your life (yes, even in the uncomfortable moments). Specifically, I am trained in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Both therapies offer concrete skills and frameworks which can help you to live a more intentional and full life. See My Approach Tab for more information on these evidence-based therapy modalities.
I specialize in disordered eating and body image issues and perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mood and anxiety disorders, including concerns that often show up alongside these issues: anxiety, depression, OCD, body dysmorphia, relationship concerns, boundary issues, work-life balance, self esteem, role transitions and identity concerns. I work with ages 18 and up.
My clients and I work in a collaborative way to clarify values—what matters most, what you would regret overlooking—and take action steps towards living a richer life.
Please give me a call if you'd like to set up a time for a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if I'm a good fit for you!
